About

Zol's Game World Games you know, built like they matter.

We built Zol's Game World around games people already know — made properly, and gathered in one place. This site was built to bring people together, not just to put puzzles on a screen: somewhere worth coming back to, and somewhere you'll run into other people while you're here. It's made for however much time you actually have. Five minutes is enough — come in, play the dailies, be done. And when you want more, it's waiting: see where your score lands against everyone else's, take on the Zolified version when the standard run stops testing you, or go head to head with another player on your own schedule.

$ whoami

Zolmore. It's been my gamer name since Dark Age of Camelot in 2001, and it's followed me through a lot of games since. MMOs are still a soft spot — but somewhere along the way I fell just as hard for the quick ones, the games you pick up for a few minutes and set back down without ceremony. Zol's Game World is what came of that. Small games, played often, with other people around. That's the community we're trying to build.

Promises? We don't need no stinking promises.

Every World starts somewhere. This one starts here, and it doesn't stay put.

Promise is a strong word, so here's the only one we'll make: we will work as hard as we can to keep adding to the World.

New games — those are certain. New ways to play them, and better ways to talk to the people you're playing with, are the kind of thing we're always working on. None of it is a commitment to a specific feature on a specific day, and we're not going to pretend otherwise.

What we will commit to is listening. Tell us what you want and we'll take it seriously. That doesn't mean everything asked for gets built — nobody can promise that and mean it. It does mean the site keeps growing, and that what you tell us shapes where it goes.

What it costs

The free tier isn't a trial. Five games a day, every day, no clock running out. We fully intend to keep it that way — we just have to find a shape that makes the economics work, and we'd rather say that plainly than pretend the question isn't there.

If you're enjoying the games and want to see the World keep growing, a paid tier is how you make that happen. And one thing worth stating outright, because it's easy to skim past: the prices are annual, not monthly.
