Maths Puzzle
Zol's Equation Guess the hidden sum.
Zol's Equation is a maths puzzle you play in your browser — a hidden equation, six tries to find it, and green-yellow-grey clues on the digits and operators to guide each guess.
The rules
- There's a hidden equation, like 12 + 7 = 19. You have six guesses to find it.
- Every guess must itself be a true equation — the maths has to actually work.
- Each tile then tells you how close you are: green is the right symbol in the right spot, yellow is the right symbol in the wrong spot, grey means it isn't used.
- The equals sign can sit anywhere, and rearranging a sum that still adds up counts as correct — so 3 + 5 and 5 + 3 are the same answer.
Pick your length
- Easy — a short seven-character equation.
- Medium — eight characters.
- Hard — nine, with more room for multiplication and division.
- Zolified — the long one, but the clues collapse so you're only told a symbol is present, never where, and a timer reveals one correct tile — at a rising cost — if you stall.
A hint can hand you a correct tile when you're stuck, twice per game, for a small cost.
Every wrong guess still has to be a real equation — so even your mistakes teach you something.
