Number-Path Puzzle

Zol's Math Path Climb the grid, hit the number.

Zol's Math Path is a number puzzle you play in your browser — climb a grid of numbers from bottom to top, choosing an operation at every step, so your running total lands exactly on the target.

The rules

  • Start on any number in the bottom row — that's your opening total.
  • Step upward one row at a time: straight up, or diagonally up-left or up-right.
  • At each step you pick an operation — add, subtract, multiply or divide — to combine your running total with the number you step onto.
  • Everything stays whole: you can only divide when it comes out even, and you can't drop below zero.
  • Reach the top row with your total sitting exactly on the target, and you've solved it.

Pick your grid

  • Easy — a 4×4 grid with a friendly target.
  • Medium — 5×5.
  • Hard — a 6×6 with fewer paths that land on the number.
  • Zolified — the 6×6, with a timer that starts lighting up cells on a winning route — at a rising cost — if you stall.

Stuck on any tier? A hint lights one cell that a real solution passes through, to nudge you back on track.

The target isn't the hard part. It's finding the route that both adds up and fits.

Three ways to play
